Compatibility of agriculture and solar

The Ebba Solar project is committed to ensuring responsible development, construction and operation of the solar project using land stewardship best practices which could include agrivoltaics — the co-location of solar and agriculture. Sheep grazing, promoting pollinator habitats, maximizing plant diversity, monitoring soil health, and providing opportunities for bee-keeping alongside solar development will lead to long-term benefits for the land and surrounding community. We are currently working with botanists and rangeland specialists to understand the best fit for this project.

Battery storage systems

The batteries proposed are the same technology readily found in the smartphone in many people’s pocket, and have been deployed across the world to assist with grid stability, energy independence, and smoothing intermittencies in energy generation.
